Southern Command: Miami

Wednesday: Panama

Probably the most exciting day of the trip. Today we got the opportunity to board Blackhawk helicopters for a 40 mile trip across Panama into the Caribbean. We landed on the USS Mesa Verde, which is a San Antonio class amphibious transport dock. Click here for the USS Mesa Verde website.

Tuesday: Cartagena Columbia

We headed out this morning on our C17 to Cartegena. After a briefing by the Columbian Navy Commander, we were given a tour of a few ships in port, including a couple of seized semi-submersibles. Now to Panama!
